I don't like to eat early in the morning so I usually don't eat breakfast until after my workout. I've heard paleo people say that is more natural but I've heard a million other people say it's sending me into catabolism and it's not good. I... (more)
A long time ago my trainer thought I should eat before my workouts. I had always done my workouts fasted just because I work out first thing in the morning. We tried everything, real food, bars, shakes, whatever. All of it made me want to puke. ... (more)
I have almost gotten breakfast down. But I need a veggie.. I put eggs (from fridge in shell) and bacon on a foil-lined cookie sheet and pop it into a cold oven which I set to 350. 30 minutes later breakfast is done. I have it with tea and... (more)
I eat spinach nearly every morning, though it probably wouldn't work in the oven as you described. I just toss it in a steamer basket and it's done in a few short minutes! Clean up is a breeze.
I'm always seeing warnings against eating too many nuts while on Paleo, since they are high in calories, addictive, and not a substitute for eat lean meats and fish. But I've always been terrible with the vague concept of moderation, so I'd love... (more)
I usually hard boil up a dozen or so at a time and this is my mainstay for breakfast through out the week as I travel for work. I am curious as what the thinking in the community here is on eating hb eggs. Go for the whole egg? Eat just the... (more)
A question that often comes up in the paleo community is what to eat for breakfast. Some people, myself included, get a little tired of eggs in various forms every morning. And while I'm certainly not averse to meat and veggies at breakfast, I... (more)

My friend suggested I make a Bacon explosion: 2 pounds bacon, thick sliced 2 pounds sausage (italian, breakfast, sage. Whichever you prefer) 1 cup cheddar cheese (finely shredded) 2 whole green onions (thinly sliced) 4 cloves garlic (minced) 1... (more)
Please help! I've been Paleo for approx 9 months now and have been egg-free for almost 2 months (eggs were causing digestive issues for me and my eczema and nut sensitivities have cleared right up after giving up eggs). I had been eating eggs... (more)
Oats can be fantastic (for those that do not have intolerance). For those who are not sensitive, all the arguments against oats can be countered. *High in phytic acid*. - can be neutralized by soaking in an acidic medium with buckwheat flour... (more)

Hello, everyday I have a banana smoothie, made up of yogurt, one small banana and a bit of milk, with half an avocado. I have been on the diet for a week and haven't lost any weight though. I'm wondering if this is the reason? Every other meal I... (more)
Bananas are one of the highest in sugar fruits out there! If you want a fruit smoothie in the AM, you should try using berries... And I would use EITHER milk OR yogurt, not both. The avocado is a great addition though!
To buy or not to buy? I usually have a green smoothie for breakfast along with my eggs, and this taste good as topping. But, how healthy is it really?
Smoothies are not paleo, you don't need magic berries from the other side of the planet. Eat a small bit of liver each week - it's the only true superfood.
Hi, I'm completely new to paleo, I've actually only on week 2. I'm doing a project where I'm doing paleo for a month, then vegetarian, then vegan, just to see how each makes me feel. Anyway, I get up very early for work and the last thing I... (more)
For breakfast, I used to eat a bowl of Kashi cereal or oatmeal (lower sugar kind for both). Simply for the convenience, I'm finding it hard to replace this meal with something paleo. I'm thinking of making a smoothie with mixed berries, a... (more)
Drink it and decide how you react to it. I haven't had breakfast in 6 months, nor would I drink a smoothie as it isn't as enjoyable as just having the fruit in a bowl of yogurt instead of whey protein.
I take supplement iron pills for breakfast and the only way (that I know and have used) is to drink it with a tiny box of juice, so I can't taste it. I have tried a few times to drink water, but I just don't like water in the morning (is that... (more)
I don't know if my lack of morning appetite is due to the detox or not, but I have no desire to make eggs or even a slice of uncured ham. My morning coffee makes me feel tired these days. I know I'm not supposed to fast during a mercury detox,... (more)
So this might be a stupid question, but I'm relatively new to implementing resistant starch into my diet so I had a question: if I'm mixing the starch (potato in my case) into my morning yogurt, would I be defeating the purpose if I'm drinking... (more)
What delicious treat can I bake for non paleo brunch guests that will make them say "damn, that paleo stuff is tasty!"? I don't do much baking (sex with your clothes on, blah blah) and my last attempt (muffins from paleomg) was flat out gross. ... (more)
I have been having steak and eggs, tomatoes and mushrooms everyday for breakfast for the last year as part of my paleo diet.... But people keep telling me too much red meat is linked to cancer. Anyone else heard this.
So, here's the thing. My transition to Paleo over the last few months has been remarkably easy. Way easier than I ever could have thought. Except for one thing: Cheerios. I grew up eating cereal every day, and it's been REALLY hard to... (more)
Is there any case that tells against the daily (multiple) consumptiom of eggs? Because, for me, this is a #1 simplest protein source ever, fitting in an easy, fast and suitable breakfast, and hence also in every other meal as an easy, good at... (more)
