I just googled GI tables and compared a handful only to notice some pretty wild variations in the numbers for a given food. Anyone know a good source for a GI table that is the most accurate/detailed/trustworthy? Many thanks.
Is there an ideal body fat percentage for each individual? Many idealize sub-10% for men, while average is somewhere between 15-25%. The reason I'm asking I cut down to below 12%, and my fat loss rate started stalling. I take this to be a... (more)

My question is relevant to eating at a calorie deficit- I recently had put on a small amount of extra fat, and wanted to lean out to my previous levels. So I decreased my calories, (I track them for now) in a zig-zag approach, eating some high... (more)
I've posted here loads, but it's hard when your mum thinks wheat is healthy and fat is bad. Anyway. I want to lose weight, but I'm not seeing much progress. I'm now weight training 2-3x per week and running 1x.I can feel my muscles getting... (more)

Because you're right-handed, it is likely that your right side is more efficient at movements, so your left side requires more muscle to be equally efficient at those movements.
Hi everyone, I am wondering the effect of the Paleo lifestyle on body fat percentage, particularly for females. Personally, I am finding it difficult to reach a low body fat percentage on the Paleo lifestyle. I've read that women are not meant to... (more)

You might also want to try intermittent fasting; eat within a 8-hr window each day (noon to 8pm). During the fast, you might have coconut oil and coffee, which should produce ketones and can accelerate metabolism.

I have a withings.com scale. It uses impedance to gauge bf%, not perfect as an absolute number, but as a trend indicator I'm happy with it. Ray Maker over at dcrainmaker.com did a pretty extensive 3 part review of bodpod vs various impedance bf... (more)
