I'm loving vermontgrassfedbeef.com; they have 100% grassfed beef, and they also sell pork, goat, chicken, and some lamb. Best prices I've seen!
I like the US Wellness. They have very good, healthy franks, liverwursts, cheesehead and various offal products. Their shipping is very fast, comes frozen and carefully packed. I've never bought their fresh meat though, so can't comment on that.
Rodabaugh bros. Grass fed canned beef. rbgrassfedbeef . com It is USDA certified grass fed, free range, antibiotic and hormone free. Two ingredients beef chuck roast and sea salt. 5 year shelf life and fully cooked. Great for a quick healthy meal or to take camping or hiking. I recommend for the convenience and the great flavor
I get mine from White Oak Pastures - a farm in Georgia. They're fantastic! I've also got bison from NorthStar Bison and really liked them as well. But their bison is much more expensive than the beef I can get from White Oak.
We love Pasture Prime Grass Fed Wagyu out of Florida. They are a family farm and not only is the beef grass fed but it is that amazing Wagyu (Kobe) beef. Grass fed will never be the same after you try.
Hi. Check out www.eatwild.com for a comprehensive listing of grass-fed beef and lamb, etc around the U.S.
I also sell 100% grass fed beef online at www.brandonnaturalbeef. We are located in the SF Bay Area. We source our beef from the Colorado Wet Mountain Valley which is an amazing place for cattle as they graze at 8,000 feet. There are lots of wonderful sources of 100% grass fed beef in the U.S. Sadly, Safeway and Trader Joe's are sourcing from New Zealand and Australia. Our cattle, here, are raised seasonally. The big box stores can't seem to handle "seasonal" meat products.
Try Topline Foods. My family has been buying from them for 3 years now. They sell organic grass fed beef, organic chicken, wild caught seafood, pasture raised pork and more. They ship nationwide but if you are in the western U.S., the shipping is especially affordable. Everything comes hand packed in a cooler with dry ice so it always arrives frozen and their customer service is great, I always get an email to confirm the delivery date before they ship and then get a UPS tracking email, too.
They also have a "Paleo Diet Approved" category to make shopping super easy. Nothing has antibiotics, added hormones or growth promotants. The beef is from family owned ranches in the Pacific Northwest where grass is naturally abundant. And, their prices seem to be lower than some of the others listed here.
I tried the vermontgrassfedbeef.com site twice and had problems with shipping twice. Never received a tracking number when the orders were shipped until I both emailed and called to request one. Never received the second order because it was sent to an incorrect address. The prices are good, however I would proceed with caution unless you are OK with putting up with a hassle on every order.
I buy locally from Baucom's Best. It's a family owned operation and they'll ship. They're great.
They have pastured chicken too.
Are there any local farm directories that are kept up to date? I am looking for places to get meat in southern California. Eat Wild seems a little dated (broken links, or places that only do wholesale these days) and only has northern CA. I am loving the new posts in here of places to check out. I would prefer to buy locally if I can though.
We use www.homegrowncow.com Awesome, nationwide online farmers market. You can find every kind of farmer raising every kind of meat!
Where do you live Roger? You should try to find a local cattle farmer first. You can cut down on waste, transportation, and you'll be supporting your local community. I had no idea there were local farmers raising 100% pastured grass-fed animals until I did a search for myself. You may be surprised. You can also save a lot of money if you buy "1/8" of a cow and you can just freeze all the meat at once. Search for "cattle share [your area]", "grass fed [your area]" etc.
I order from www.grassfedfriends.com They feed with non-gmo grass, no antibiotic, no steroids, no hormones. Prices are amazing! & they ship everywhere!
I get mine from theboslife.com They are by far the most transparent about their meat sources!
If you want to buy best grass fed beef online then you should go to lgbeef.com website where you can buy fresh fed beef online.
Check out www.paleowales.co.uk was really impressed with their grass fed meat, but they do only sell in the UK
I have been researching a source for 100% grass fed beef and bought a lot of meat from many places. What I have found is that Teton Waters Ranch Grass Fed Beef has the BEST premium grass fed beef available online. they offer free shipping on all orders over 150 bucks too. What makes them great is that they subscribe to all natural beef ie NO HORMONES, NO STEROIDS, NO ANTIBIOTICS. nuff said
NOW EXIST DEL TERRUÑO. THEY ARE FROM URUGUAY AND HAVE FULL TRACEABILITY. IS THE BEST BEEF I EVER TRIED. WWW.DELTERRUNIO.COM
If you have a Costco membership, they have the following packs of GF beef, including shipping:
- 8 x 1 pound: $64 ($8/lb)
- 20 pounds total. A mix of ground bricks and patties: $120 ($6/lb)
- An incredible pack of 23 pounds of various steak cuts and ground beef: $500
Apart from that, I get my GF beef online at La Cense Beef, a Montana ranch.
We have ordered from Slankers grass-fed meat at http://www.texasgrassfedbeef.com. The orders arrived in perfect condition. The meat has been delicious. We have tried their beef Porterhouse, 90/10 hamburger patties, whole chicken, lamb chops, pork chops and their Heritage Turkey made our Thanksgiving meal extra delicious.
Not sure there is a best place, but ViJuvenate Beef offers a good value on larger orders in particular: http://www.vijuvenate.com/c-grass-fed-beef.html
http://northstarbison.com they've been awesome. They ship quick, the box is lined with Styrofoam on all sides and they include dry ice packs to keep the contents cold.
They run specials all the time, just look for a coupon code. The latest one I found was for the Crossfit Games. It's CFGAMES2012 for 10% off the entire order.
I'm sorry you had problems shopping online. I am a great advocate of buying my meats on line The benefits of ordering on line include having specialists in the meat business, guaranteed freshness of the meat, and direct access to grass fed beef.. I have to say that I buy grass fed beef online from LaCense and it tastes better than anything I have found locally. In addition, it is often hard to find grass fed beef locally. I have to tell you that the reason I honestly keep ordering their meat is because not only do they offer healthy, grass fed, antibiotic free meat, but they also have a tender and tasty product. During all the numerous years I have ordered meat from them I have never had a problem with their shipping. I have been 100& satisfied. I highly recommend them.
Has anyone tried the grass fed beef from tropicaltraditions.com? Their big selling point on their website is that they use a unique breed of cattle. (Galloway)
I get my beef from a pasture raised farm in Tucson.
