Can I use millet flour as a substitute for almond flour.? I usually use coconut or sunflower seed flour, but I currently have no access to either of the products.
Nut & alternative grain flours are totally icing on the proverbial paleo cake. Their only advantage is that they are gluten-free. If that's your primary concern, then go for it.
I know that it's paleo to use almond or coconut flour instead of regular wheat flour for baking. But in my region one cannot easily find those paleo types of flours and making flour of raw almonds or even coconuts is a crazy and expensive idea... (more)
when i was on SCD, i used coconut flour mixed with almond flour. i usually didn't bake solely with coconut flour because i can't eat eggs. for some reason, you need more eggs when you bake with coconut flour.

Honeyville blanched almond flour is the one most commonly used for baking. I've used it a lot and have had great results with it. Amazon sometimes carries it, or you can order it from honeyville.com.
